Our History

The G.F. Morin Company was founded in 1966 as a manufacturer's representative for Baltimore
Aircoil Company, lnc (BAC) for the Washington, DC. Metropolitan Area, comprised of Gil Morin
and a part-time assistant. The total sales for the first year of business was $165,000.00.

Through a lot of hard work, sales increased and, in 1974, BAC expanded the territory to include
Baltimore City and the entire State of Maryland. The Company now operated from its main
office in Kensington, Maryland with a satellite office in Baltimore. By 1976, the Company had
grown. Now, with six employees and contracts to represent BAC, BAC-Pritchard, Claude Laval
Corporation LAKOS, and Process Efficiency Products, lnc. The Tranter plate heat exchanger line
was added in 1978.

From 1988—1989, with a new building and one central, expanded location, The Cooling Tower
Store and CT/HX Engineered Repair Services, lnc. were launched. These new divisions afforded
the opportunity to develop sales in the “Aftermarket” including replacement parts, replacement
equipment and service on the installed base of equipment.

In 2001, the G.F. Morin Company further expanded and merged with Environmental Power
Systems which added Eaton Cutler-Hammer and other valuable products.

In subsequent years, Morin continued to diversify into niche markets by adding DOW Chemical
heat transfer fluids, Whalen, and Composite Cooling Solutions. The name of our parts division
was also changed to Morin Distribution in recognition of our growth in distribution of a wide
range of heat rejection and HVAC products.

In 2008, Morin expanded in the Central Pennsylvania territory with the acquisition of the
Dennis Scouler Company. The acquisition provided a significant expansion to our BAC territory
as well as our other core products, plus provided an opportunity to expand our aftermarket
services.

Morin has continued to grow through the addition of exciting new products and services
including non-chemical water treatment systems, Steril-Aire ultraviolet systems, Kelvion,
Vibro-Acoustics vibration isolation seismic products and control panels, and lNCOM building
products and supplies.

We have continued to expand our geographic footprint with CT/HX locations in Virginia and
Florida.

Presently, The Morin Companies have 80 employees including experienced sales engineers,
technical outside salesmen and a dedicated inside support team, all committed to sales and
service of our products.
